Reminders of Things to Come
- Our fellow Rotary Club in Mt. Carroll needs 4 or 5 Rotarians to help with their beer garden at Mayfest. Saturday night the 25th from 9 to midnight. The opportunity to help is a quid pro quo for their assistance at Harvest Hammer. Contact Kevin at 772-4011 if available.
- The golf outing is set for May 31st at Kewanee. Tee time is noon. Looks like we have 2 foursomes signed up. Details at 10.
- I understand that two students have applied for, been interviewed for, and approved for attendance at the World Affairs Conference. Drew has the details.
- Still looking for a 3rd host family for the Rotary exchange student from Thailand- a four month stint during the coming year. Student to attend MHS.
Ed Abbott will present his own program today. Last week, Jamie Rodriguez of the Emmanual Reformed Church presented on the church’s mission trip to Jamaica. Mike Zurn served as the program chairman.
Attendance last week came to 31 members. Stan Steines won the 50-50 Raffle.
Drew Hoffman is touting the fundraiser for the high school golf team scheduled for June 1st. He needs sponsors and players.
